LCM 2007 - 2008 Conferences
Congratulations delegates on your performance in Washington DC!
This
past weekend, March 26th - 29th, 2009, the League of Creative Minds
participated in the George Washington, Elliott School of International
Affairs, Model United Nations XI conference. This was a four day high
school conference held in Washington DC on the GW campus. Delegates
attended from all over the East Coast, as well as from Denmark, Sweden,
the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Mexico, the United Kingdom,
Columbia, China and more. The level of negotiation, conflict
resolution, debate and diplomacy was truly outstanding.
The
organization by the WAMUNC staff was unparalleled to any conference we
have attended so far and as a delegation we recognize a special sense
of gratitude and appreciation to Catherine Wrisley for all of her hard
work and dedication to running such a well-organized and inspiring
conference.
Special Congrats on receiving the Best Delegate
Awards to Hope on the United Nations High Commission for Refugees and
to Sam and Nishad on the NGO, Amnesty International. A note of special
recognition to Sara for receiving Honorable Mention on the United
Nations Development Program. Well done.
Additionally, we are
very proud of the entire LCM 1 delegation for your enthusiastic
teamwork and high efforts to work in unity as a delegation. For your
high energy in attending a rigorous high school conference filled with
hours and hours of debate, and most of all to your new learned
knowledge, analytical reasoning of world affairs and appreciation
towards delegates from all around the world. As directors, advisors,
coaches, mentors and teachers we could not ask for more.
Thank
you delegates for your active participation in this conference and
showing us and many others what you are capable to doing. This
conference held such a high level because you, as delegates, created it
to be that way.
Attentively,
LCM Directors
